Based on a comparison of 145 countries in 2024, Brunei ranked the highest in fuel imports as a percentage of merchandise imports with 0.638 followed by Burkina Faso and Dem. Republic of the Congo. On the other end of the scale was Kuwait with 0.006, Congo with 0.014 and Iran with 0.020.
