Based on a comparison of 139 countries in 2024, Brunei ranked the highest in fuel imports as a percentage of merchandise imports with 0.678 followed by Burkina Faso and Dem. Republic of the Congo. On the other end of the scale was Kuwait with 0.005, Hong Kong with 0.022 and Qatar with 0.017.
