Based on a comparison of 59 countries in 2022, Uruguay ranked the highest in births attended by skilled health staff as a share of total with 100% followed by Macedonia and Lithuania. On the other end of the scale was South Sudan with 39.7%, Niger with 43.7% and Madagascar with 45.8%.
