Based on a comparison of 177 countries in 2024, Singapore ranked the highest in urban population as a percentage of total population with 100% followed by Monaco and Hong Kong. On the other end of the scale was Papua New Guinea with 13.6%, Liechtenstein with 14.5% and Burundi with 14.4%.
