Based on a comparison of 39 countries in 2018, Romania ranked the highest in total marriages per 1,000 people with 7.31 followed by Albania and Lithuania. On the other end of the scale was Italy with 3.27, Portugal with 3.39 and Luxembourg with 3.42.
