Based on a comparison of 100 countries in 2022, Belgium ranked the highest in nurses and midwives per 1,000 people with 19.4 followed by Norway and Switzerland. On the other end of the scale was Central African Republic with 0.235, Niger with 0.202 and Chad with 0.308.
