Based on a comparison of 159 countries in 2024, India ranked the highest in number of pupils in secondary education with 131,511 '000 followed by China and Indonesia. On the other end of the scale was Tuvalu with 0.625 '000, Palau with 2.18 '000 and Nauru with 0.364 '000.
