Hard coal production reached 38,810 kt in 2015 in North Korea, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 14.2% more than in the previous year.
Historically, hard coal production in North Korea reached an all time high of 54,884 kt in 1988 and an all time low of 20,503 kt in 1998.
North Korea has been ranked 12th within the group of 55 countries we follow in terms of hard coal production.
