Based on a comparison of 152 countries in 2023, Sierra Leone ranked the highest in gross school enrollment in primary education with 157% followed by Rwanda and Madagascar. On the other end of the scale was Somalia with 21.2%, Suriname with 66.0% and Liberia with 52.2%.
