Based on a comparison of 151 countries in 2024, China ranked the highest in foreign exchange reserves excluding gold with USD 3,190 bil followed by Japan and Switzerland. On the other end of the scale was South Sudan with USD 0.342 bil, Bolivia with USD 1.27 bil and Burundi with USD 0.157 bil.
