Foreign debt reached USD 20,331 bil in 2023 in Iraq, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 10.5% less than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign debt in Iraq reached an all time high of USD 28,082 bil in 2017 and an all time low of USD 19,136 bil in 2015.
Iraq has been ranked 48th within the group of 110 countries we follow in terms of foreign debt.
