Foreign debt reached USD 9,901 bil in 2023 in Iran, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 4.66% more than in the previous year.
Historically, foreign debt in Iran reached an all time high of USD 23,392 bil in 1993 and an all time low of USD 3,969 bil in 1981.
