Asylum applicants reached 26,255 persons in 2019 in Sweden, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 21.8% more than in the previous year.
Historically, asylum applicants in Sweden reached an all time high of 162,450 persons in 2015 and an all time low of 5,775 persons in 1996.
