Asylum applicants reached 165,615 persons in 2019 in Germany, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 10.1% less than in the previous year.
Historically, asylum applicants in Germany reached an all time high of 745,160 persons in 2016 and an all time low of 19,165 persons in 2007.
