Youth dependency ratio fell 4.08% to 21.8% in Armenia in 2024, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, youth dependency ratio in Armenia reached an all time high of 75.3% in 1964 and an all time low of 21.8% in 2024. When compared to Armenia's main peers, youth dependency ratio in Azerbaijan amounted to 25.0%, 23.2% in Georgia, 27.1% in Iran and 26.5% in Turkey in 2024.
Armenia has been ranked 129th within the group of 174 countries we follow in terms of youth dependency ratio, 4 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
