Historically, youth dependency ratio in Iraq reached an all time high of 97.6% in 1977 and an all time low of 53.9% in 2024. When compared to Iraq's main peers, youth dependency ratio in Iran amounted to 27.1%, 28.3% in Kuwait, 28.3% in Saudi Arabia and 39.2% in Syria in 2024.
