Youth dependency ratio fell 2.26% to 57.8% in Sudan in 2024, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, youth dependency ratio in Sudan reached an all time high of 96.8% in 1992 and an all time low of 57.8% in 2024. When compared to Sudan's main peers, youth dependency ratio in Chad amounted to 81.4%, 38.4% in Egypt, 56.4% in Ethiopia and 62.7% in South Sudan in 2024.
