Historically, workers' remittances paid in Romania reached an all time high of USD 1,788 mil in 2024 and an all time low of USD 1.00 mil in 1997. When compared to Romania's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Bulgaria amounted to USD 423 mil, USD 1,568 mil in Hungary, USD 512 mil in Moldova and USD 193 mil in Ukraine in 2024.
