Historically, workers' remittances paid in Panama reached an all time high of USD 839 mil in 2016 and an all time low of USD 16.1 mil in 1991. When compared to Panama's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Colombia amounted to USD 407 mil, USD 647 mil in Costa Rica, USD 346 mil in Honduras and USD 146 mil in Nicaragua in 2024.
