Historically, workers' remittances paid in Italy reached an all time high of USD 14,510 mil in 2011 and an all time low of USD 106 mil in 1970. When compared to Italy's main peers, workers' remittances paid in Austria amounted to USD 8,936 mil, USD 19,672 mil in France, USD 568 mil in Slovenia and USD 37,794 mil in Switzerland in 2024.
Italy has been ranked 12th within the group of 98 countries we follow in terms of workers' remittances paid.
