Historically, wood charcoal production in Yemen reached an all time high of 68,244 kt in 2016 and an all time low of 4,954 kt in 1961. When compared to Yemen's main peers, wood charcoal production in Djibouti amounted to 53,355 kt, 142,000 kt in Eritrea, 7,128 kt in Oman and 48,458 kt in Saudi Arabia in 2017.
