Who had the Highest Sales Among Global Car Producers in 2017?

Based on a comparison of 32 firms among Global Car Producers, Volkswagen Group generated the highest sales in 2017 followed by Toyota Motor Corporation and Daimler Group.

Volkswagen Group made total sales of EUR 229,550 mil, up 5.65% compared to the previous year. Historically, the firm’s revenues an all time high of EUR 229,550 mil in 2017 and an all time low of EUR 33,147 mil in 1990.

The average sales growth in the last five years amounted to 3.56%.

Comparing Volkswagen Group with its closest peers, Toyota Motor Corporation generated a sales of EUR 226,066 mil average sales growth 1.15% in 2017, Daimler Group sold products and services worth EUR 164,154 mil (5-year growth of 7.51%) and Honda Motor Company announced revenues of EUR 117,596 mil translating into average nominal growth of 7.51% in the last five years.
