Which Roads Are the Most Paved?

Based on a comparison of 56 countries in 2010, USA ranked the highest in paved roads as a share of total roads with 100% followed by Ireland and France. On the other end of the scale was Ghana with 12.6%, Brazil with 13.5% and Kenya with 14.3%.

Average paved roads as a share of total roads reached 55.2% in 2010 in the World according to the National Statistical Office. This is 16.6 % more than in the previous year and % the same as 10 years ago.

Historically, average paved roads as a share of total roads reached an all time high of 55.2% in 2010 and an all time low of 45.0% in 2004. The average annual growth amounted to 3.77 % since 1982.
