Based on a comparison of 160 countries in 2024, Luxembourg ranked the highest in exports as a share of GDP with 2.16% followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. On the other end of the scale was Sudan with 0.012%, Haiti with 0.034% and Burundi with 0.053%.

Average exports as a share of GDP reached 0.290% in 2024 in the World according to the National Statistical Office. This is 5.54 % more than in the previous year and 2.48 % more than 10 years ago.
