Based on a comparison of 132 countries in 2021, South Korea ranked the highest in hospital beds per 1,000 people with 12.8 beds followed by Japan and Mongolia. On the other end of the scale was Papua New Guinea with 0.170 beds, Burkina Faso with 0.200 beds and Niger with 0.270 beds.
