Based on a comparison of 97 countries in 2020, East Timor ranked the highest in natural gas rents as a percentage of GDP with 28.6% followed by Turkmenistan and Brunei. On the other end of the scale was Belgium with < 0.001%, France with < 0.001% and Moldova with < 0.001%.
