UniCredit Bank Czecho-Slovakia's non-performing loans reached 1.60% of total loans at the end of 2024, up from 1.45% compared to the previous year. Historically, the NPL ratio hit an all time high of 5.88% in 2014 and an all time low of 1.45% in 2023.
Provision coverage amounted to 111% at the end of 2024, down from 127% compared to a year earlier.
The bank created loan loss provisions worth of 0.089% of average loans in 2024. That's compared to 0.334% of loans the bank put aside to its cost on average in the last five years.
Comparing UniCredit Bank Czecho-Slovakia with its closest peers, Ceska Sporitelna operated at the end of 2024 with NPL ratio of 1.80% and provision coverage of 102%, CSOB with 1.43% and 43.6% respectively and Komercni Banka had 1.94% of bad loans covered with 44.3% by provisions at the end of 2024.
