Total primary coal production fell 3.47% to 94,248 kt in Colombia in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, total primary coal production in Colombia reached an all time high of 98,132 kt in 2012 and an all time low of 4,533 kt in 1980. When compared to Colombia's main peers, total primary coal production in Brazil amounted to 8,850 kt, 273 kt in Peru and 1,189 kt in Venezuela in 2015.
