Historically, total dependency ratio in Turkey reached an all time high of 91.7% in 1968 and an all time low of 41.7% in 2024. When compared to Turkey's main peers, total dependency ratio in Bulgaria amounted to 52.4%, 53.7% in Greece, 59.8% in Iraq and 38.4% in Iran in 2024.
