Historically, total coal consumption in Bangladesh reached an all time high of 2,207 kt in 2015 and an all time low of 65.0 kt in 1994. When compared to Bangladesh's main peers, total coal consumption in Bhutan amounted to 87.9 kt, 4,376,326 kt in China, 879,608 kt in India and 663 kt in Myanmar in 2015.
