Historically, total coal consumption in Thailand reached an all time high of 41,484 kt in 2013 and an all time low of 1,620 kt in 1980. When compared to Thailand's main peers, total coal consumption in Cambodia amounted to 763 kt, 382 kt in Laos, 24,472 kt in Malaysia and 663 kt in Myanmar in 2015.
