Historically, total cigarette consumption in Switzerland reached an all time high of 10,220 mil in 2013 and an all time low of 9,280 mil in 2016. When compared to Switzerland's main peers, total cigarette consumption in Austria amounted to 12,290 mil, 44,310 mil in France, 76,860 mil in Germany and 71,140 mil in Italy in 2016.
