Historically, timber removals in Turkey reached an all time high of 24,642 '000 cbm in 2015 and an all time low of 8,781 '000 cbm in 1961. When compared to Turkey's main peers, timber removals in Bulgaria amounted to 6,372 '000 cbm, 1,432 '000 cbm in Greece, 177 '000 cbm in Iraq and 782 '000 cbm in Iran in 2015.
