Taxes on goods and services as a share of revenue fell 4.72% to 16.1% in South Korea in 2023, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, taxes on goods and services as a share of revenue in South Korea reached an all time high of 48.6% in 1975 and an all time low of 16.1% in 2023.

South Korea has been ranked 78th within the group of 83 countries we follow in terms of taxes on goods and services as a share of revenue, 32 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
