Historically, tax revenue in Romania reached an all time high of RON 225 bil in 2022 and an all time low of RON < 0.001 bil in 1972. When compared to Romania's main peers, tax revenue in Bulgaria amounted to BGN 36.6 bil, HUF 15,451 bil in Hungary, MDL 51.9 bil in Moldova and UAH 874 bil in Ukraine in 2022.
