Smokers as a share of 15-24 year-old population rose 0% to 9.20% in Denmark in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, smokers as a share of 15-24 year-old population in Denmark reached an all time high of 40.1% in 1990 and an all time low of 9.20% in 2021. When compared to Denmark's main peers, smokers as a share of 15-24 year-old population in Germany amounted to 9.90%, 11.7% in Netherlands, 1.00% in Norway and 8.60% in Sweden in 2021.

Denmark has been ranked 10th within the group of 18 countries we follow in terms of smokers as a share of 15-24 year-old population, 10 places below the position seen 10 years ago.
