Historically, recovered paper production in Iceland reached an all time high of 31,000 kt in 2016 and an all time low of 8,000 kt in 2000. When compared to Iceland's main peers, recovered paper production in Denmark amounted to 590,000 kt, 602,000 kt in Norway, 1,148,000 kt in Sweden and 7,547,000 kt in United Kingdom in 2018.
