Historically, public spending on education as a share of GDP in Vietnam reached an all time high of 4.89% in 2008 and an all time low of 2.89% in 2022. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, public spending on education as a share of GDP in Cambodia amounted to 2.88%, 4.02% in China, 1.46% in Laos and 2.61% in Thailand in 2022.
