Historically, production of wood-based panels in the European Union reached an all time high of 68,705 '000 cbm in 2007 and an all time low of 7,371 '000 cbm in 1961. When compared to European Union's main peers, production of wood-based panels in China amounted to 197,343,000 '000 cbm, 4,619,700 '000 cbm in Japan, 13,537,279 '000 cbm in Russia and 35,258,505 '000 cbm in USA in 2015.
