Historically, production of sawlogs and veneer logs in Zambia reached an all time high of 1,441,000 '000 cbm in 2017 and an all time low of 41,000 '000 cbm in 1973. When compared to Zambia's main peers, production of sawlogs and veneer logs in Angola amounted to 200,000 '000 cbm, 785,079 '000 cbm in Tanzania, 549,670 '000 cbm in Zimbabwe and 329,013 '000 cbm in Dem. Republic of the Congo in 2018.
