Historically, production of dates in Iraq reached an all time high of 932,000 tonnes in 2000 and an all time low of 251,440 tonnes in 1984. When compared to Iraq's main peers, production of dates in Iran amounted to 1,030,460 tonnes, 103,112 tonnes in Kuwait, 1,610,731 tonnes in Saudi Arabia and 2,382 tonnes in Syria in 2022.
