Production of green chilli and pepper fell 5.79% to 681 kt in Egypt in 2022, according to Faostat.

Historically, production of green chilli and pepper in Egypt reached an all time high of 956 kt in 2019 and an all time low of 54.0 kt in 1961. When compared to Egypt's main peers, production of green chilli and pepper in Israel amounted to 118 kt, 29.1 kt in Libya, 120 kt in Saudi Arabia and 36.8 kt in Sudan in 2022.
