Production of green chilli and pepper fell 32.0% to 105 kt in Romania in 2022, according to Faostat.

Historically, production of green chilli and pepper in Romania reached an all time high of 336 kt in 1984 and an all time low of 104 kt in 1961. When compared to Romania's main peers, production of green chilli and pepper in Bulgaria amounted to 46.8 kt, 85.0 kt in Hungary, 13.8 kt in Moldova and 117 kt in Ukraine in 2022.
