Production of green chilli and pepper fell 16.3% to 7.40 kt in Panama in 2022, according to Faostat.

Historically, production of green chilli and pepper in Panama reached an all time high of 9.16 kt in 2019 and an all time low of 0.400 kt in 1972. When compared to Panama's main peers, production of green chilli and pepper in Colombia amounted to 89.2 kt, 0.584 kt in Costa Rica, 34.4 kt in Honduras and 22.1 kt in Nicaragua in 2022.
