Historically, production of case materials in Moldova reached an all time high of 34,900 kt in 2006 and an all time low of 1,000 kt in 2016. When compared to Moldova's main peers, production of case materials in Bulgaria amounted to 93,434 kt, 255,369 kt in Romania, 4,065,572 kt in Russia and 374,000 kt in Ukraine in 2017.
