Historically, production of cars per 1,000 people in Canada reached an all time high of 53.5 vehicles in 1999 and an all time low of 7.77 vehicles in 2022. When compared to Canada's main peers, production of cars per 1,000 people in Australia amounted to 0 vehicles, 6.91 vehicles in Mexico, 14.0 vehicles in United Kingdom and 5.20 vehicles in USA in 2023.
