Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price rose 8.07% to 38.4% in Thailand in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Thailand reached an all time high of 38.4% in 2016 and an all time low of 28.2% in 2008. When compared to Thailand's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Cambodia amounted to 7.62%, 13.4% in Laos, 65.2% in Malaysia and 11.2% in Myanmar in 2016.
