Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price rose 2.51% to 29.4% in Montenegro in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Montenegro reached an all time high of 29.4% in 2016 and an all time low of 14.9% in 2010. When compared to Montenegro's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Albania amounted to 29.2%, 39.8% in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 55.5% in Croatia and 30.8% in Serbia in 2016.
