Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price fell 8.62% to 43.2% in Bulgaria in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 51.5% in 2014 and an all time low of 43.2% in 2016. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Greece amounted to 69.2%, 61.9% in Romania, 30.8% in Serbia and 69.7% in Turkey in 2016.
