Price of Cigarettes (As % of Average U.S. Price) fell 22.4% to 21.5% in Tanzania in 2016

Price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price fell 22.4% to 21.5% in Tanzania in 2016, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Tanzania reached an all time high of 34.0% in 2014 and an all time low of 21.5% in 2016. When compared to Tanzania's main peers, price of cigarettes as a percentage of average U.S. price in Kenya amounted to 19.9%, 7.93% in Mozambique, 11.5% in Uganda and 25.8% in Zambia in 2016.
